I have been thrilled with the quality and durability of the Kelty gear I have purchased. I liked the Kelty Camp Hauler Three so much that I got the Kelty Camp Hauler Two for smaller uses! The stitching is excellent, the fabric is tough and I've found all of the bags very easy to clean after they have been dragged through soccer tournaments worth of mud. After seeing my Keltys lugged around, keeping everything clean and organized (ahhh, finally!!!) all season, several other soccer parents in our area now own their own Keltys. I love this stuff and have no doubt it will last for a long, long time.

There is a wealth of information in the Kelty threads about the reliability and quality of the packs, as well as information about why these particular packs ended up on woot.

I have a bunch of the Hauler bags - 3-bag and 2-bag sets - and love them for easy organization. I can keep and label each bag with their appropriate gear like one is dining stuff, one is bathroom stuff, etc. Material and stitchins is high quality. Same with the backpacks - I picked up two to use as go-bags.

They do offer some military packs though I don't know if they're general contractors.

@neuropsychosocial: Would you mind throwing some of those links in here?

When our younger kids were little I had a Kelty brand backpack carrier so I could go walking/hiking. It was outstanding quality and I used it with both of my youngest two children. My youngest is about to turn 8 now, but that pack was still in such great condition that I passed it on to a co-worker earlier this year and they have been using it for their child.

I would definitely not hesitate to buy Kelty items in the future!

And this regarding how the product lines are grouped:

Hi,

Thank you for your email. The packs are either grouped around a specific feature or design, as the Agile Series or the vintage pack. The rest of categories are more by function so they are easy to narrow down to which is the right one for you.
