Have you been getting more *ahem* adult emails lately?
We all get them I know- mine normally swim over to spam land and that's fine. But lately, I've been getting up to 15 per day. That seems a bit ridiculous. Seeing as I don't frequent NSFW sites, and haven't ordered anything from the plan brown wrapping sites, you'd think 5 per day would be sufficient. Have you been getting more, or am I the only lucky one?
Probably in one of those accounts I only use for the occasional verification to a site I want to make a comment on occasionally. But I don't ever check them, as they get a lot of ahem adult themed e-mails about enhancing my ahem performance.
Look, I'm sorry already!
I just had some funny adult jokes to tell you.
I know what you mean. I'm starting to clear out and customize my inbox and it's shocking how many spam/scam/"enlargement pills"/fake "sexual encounter" messages get through the filters.
@curtisuxor: I knew it was you!
Be glad you don't own a website. That automatically earns you hundreds/day of assorted spam. The bulk of it is filtered out through blacklists, and the rest gets filtered out by my email client.between those 2 things, my spam drops to maybe 3 a day in my inbox.
If you annoyed someone badly enough, it's possible they signed you up for some mailing lists.
Just use Gmail. I don't know if it's voodoo or just some insanely good filtering algorythm, but I get maybe 1 spam a week in my Gmail inbox, at most.
@woadwarrior: I feel your pain as a fellow domain owner. I'm constantly having to make new rules, though.
(Yay, seasonal tax spam... no.)
being a female i am surprised at how often i get spam offering to enlarge my male genitalia or hot horny babes wanting me.
They all managed to go into my spam folder, so I don't keep count of how many I get a day, but 1 is too many.
@moosezilla: My latest spam-run now includes offers to "meet Christian singles." Not interested in either of those.
@moosezilla: How do they know you might not like a hot babe wanting you? Or that your male partner might not need some 'enhancement'? Couldn't hurt to ask?
I have noticed an increase in the flood of spam showing up in my spam folder. But at least it's showing up there and not in my inbox.
@moosezilla: See that's my problem too. It's all male enhancement offers. I mean if I didn't jump to buy it the first 500 times you emailed me why would I do it now?
