My first purchase, the reason I joined woot, was a Kindle keyboard.

On July 1, 2010 the purchase price was very good ($149.99 + $5 s/h). Amazon was still selling them for a lot more. Come to think about it, that may have been the day Zon bought woot. I've bought more Kindles from woot...for less. Still, they got me w/that one! :-D

Must say I'd heard of woot, but never found anything I wanted...until that fateful day. Didn't even know about deals until much, much later.

What a trip. Fun, zany and almost always interesting! Thanks again, woot staff. All of you!!

My first purchase was a shirt (12/12/2010):

http://shirt.woot.com/offers/rosebud

I didn't actually buy it because back then we were getting $20 coupons but it still gave me voting privileges.

The first WOOT I actually paid for was this:

The best vacuum I have ever owned, btw.

My first is so old it's a dead link, but according to my account info it was from May 2nd 2005.

vote-for12vote-against

My first purchase was on September 20, 2010. It was a 4GB Sansa Fuse: http://www.woot.com/offers/sandisk-sansa-fuze-4gb-media-player

Two days later I snared my first Bag of Crap. Ahh, those were the good ol' days. I miss them.

vote-for18vote-against

@samstag: That Woot is so old, we lost the image for it. Good job!

vote-for9vote-against

My first purchase: February 15, 2005 HP Creative Photo Paper Bundle for $19.99.

I can actually still get to that link from my "stuff I bought" section, but all it has is a bit of verbiage saying it's sold out.

vote-for8vote-against

My first purchase. Which I just pulled out of the laundry basket yesterday and considered buying another one.

vote-for12vote-against

I just want to add that I was hanging around Woot a couple of years before I joined. I almost always read the daily sale write-ups and giggle. I had never seen anything like this website. (I guess I'll never see anything else like it again).

I didn't know anything about Sansas (did I REALLY want a refurb product?) And Bags of Crap--what the heck were they? But everyone seemed to be having a good time and I decided I wanted to be a part of it. I'm glad I came here. I'm proud to call myself a Wootizen.

Ah, yes. the Pocket Edge! And during a WOOT OFF! The lights are still flashing at the link. Someone should turn those off to save electricity.

@morriea: I have a pair of them, still in the box. And a pair of red and blue ones.

vote-for7vote-against

@morriea: Now THAT was funny! :-D Cutting overhead and all, you know?

Bag O’ Crap IV. Can you really consider BOC a first?
If not
2 Mystery Brand 5.1 Channel 6pc Speaker Set (Awesome Dell Speakers) It was part of an April first Joke they made the "I want one" button jump away from the mouse. I used a different browser to disable the Java.
Please take a second and think about that. A company that sells things made the purchase button impossible to press as an April 1st joke. (Clever users still sold them out in the first hour)

vote-for11vote-against

While I was looking through my purchase history I also discovered that the mouse I'm using right now is about to turn 7 years old on Sunday. Happy birthday, Razor Pro!

I actually have quite a few 5+ year old woot items I'm still using on a regular basis.

July of 2007 I got a WowWee Robosapien Robot for $79.99, during a Woot-Off.

http://www.woot.com/offers/wowwee-robosapien-version-2-humanoid-robot-jul-19

That was a great price and the robot was awesome. My kids had a blast with it and lots of their friends thought it was the coolest thing. I think it's still in a closet somewhere, waiting to come out and take over the world.

Three years later I replaced it with this

But I still pull out the old Cuisinart every time my dad is in town because I don't want him touching my Espresso machine.

I'm approaching my 4th Woot Birthday. Lurked a while before splurging for a V-Touch 8GB Touch Screen Media Player on August 5, 2009. I never really used it, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. It was two years later before I figured out what DW was all about and posted my first deal here.

@jsimsace: Oh, lordy, that was my third Woot purchase! Used it all that summer, still have it, in fact. These days I stick to Crystal Light lemonade, but I'm still reluctant to get rid of the Lemonader. One never knows when it will be useful.

@zippy the pinhead: here’s yours

@gt0163c: yours is here

@pooflady: and here's yours!

I did my best to go through and grab web archives of everybody's first woots, but I crap you not: most of you decided to buy woots on days without an archive!

Since this comment turned out to be a real bummer; here’s a screenshot from the earliest available archive of woot.com! (as owned by woot)
