Weird. I wonder if he works for, or is somehow associated with, newegg? Note that every single deal he's posted was from there.

@shrdlu: Actually, I checked before seeing this Question thread. He's posted five pages worth of deals. While the vast majority are from newegg.com He has also posted several deals from other websites such as staples.com, walmart.com, parts-express.com, and toolstop.com (I may have missed one or two). All this to say, I agree something fishy is going on, but I'm not sure if this guy works for newegg.com and is trying to earn credibility by posting deals from other sites, or if this person has lost all creativity and is using newegg.com in a desperate attempt to build reputation without wading through other sites to find deals.
@shrdlu: I was wondering the same thing. That is something staff will need to decide. They have the tools to check that out I suppose.

I am signed up for their deals and shell shocker alerts. Did I do something wrong? I run down through their deals list to see which ones appear to be good ones and list them. Then I'll check Slickdeals to see if there's anything there. Sorry if I broke a rule somewhere.
@leof: Maybe. When a user posts a lot of deals all at once from one site, we get angry that maybe what is being posted aren't deals and just people who work for these sites are trying to generate sales.
Our main concern is that when strings of deals from one site get posted in close succession, it pushes off of the front page deals posted by other users and either hurts their rep or feelings and causes undue anguish from the rest of us.
My advice to you is to not post more than two or three back to back.
@sgoman5674: I haven't been to Texas and they still love me down there. Must be the Southern Belle thing going on and maybe they know my granny was from Ft. Worth.

Boy, I've gotten the third degree today: Woot email, then phone call from woot heaven, everybody on the board picking on me. Gee, I think I'd rather try for the Bag O' Crap and fail again for the umpteenth time in 4 or 5 years!
Don't ever think woot isn't "on it" when you contact them! Don't worry, they were perfectly civilized except for the woot tazer and the woot pepper spray. For those that want to know more, see the post right after this one asking about "0 woots."
Now I think I'll go hide for a while. Gee, and I was all ready to post my last listing about that Intel i7-980 processor for $129.99 before all this started.

@leof: Now that you have found the underbelly of deals, please don't leave. This is not an exclusive club. You might be able to give us an alternate point of view or you might know something that we could benefit from. Also, when you get one of those emails pick the one or two deals that you think are best. Post them.
