@dave bug: Why do you need to prop it up? Can't it just lay flat? Or do you mean that you're actually watching a movie ON your iPhone?

@shrdlu: Yeah, on a plane it's annoying holding the phone for 90 minutes, or trying to shove the napkin or business cards behind it to angle it towards me.

@dave bug: The Gorillapod is great for the plane. I fly pretty frequently for work and have experimented with other solutions that sit on the tray. The tray solutions seem workable, but after 1/2 hour of staring downwards my tray, my neck starts to feel stiff. With the Gorillapod, I take one arm and clamp it between the tray and the seatback (in the upright position). Then I bend the other 2 arms and the stem make a cradle for my iPhone. Works like a charm.

@dave bug: Ohhhh... I have a Crackberry, and it has a cradle, which I can use. Now I understand. I have a friend who has a thing he takes everywhere that is kind of like a cradle, can be attached to stuff, and holds it in front of him. I'll try and remember to ask about it. You iPhone users always want everything.

this is my three tier approch to caring for my Iphone
1) TS ToughSkin iPhone Case this thing I got for my 3g iphone also fit my 3gs so great.
2) Speck ArmorSkin IPhone IPod Touch Case and Belt Clip
for iPhone- this thing clips at the four corners of the iphone, when dropped it's covered.hard plastic with a clip that doubles as a stand for viewing. I use it while on break to watch movies and tv shows.
3)invisibleSHIELD™ this thing saved my screen many times over. it still looks like i just bought the phone.
