I expect higher than normal viewers just so they can catch that Walking Dead glimpse.

I had never seen it before, and I honestly do not understand why it is as popular as it seems to be. Does someone have to have watched previous seasons to get any kind of understanding of who is who and why, etc. I expected that those things would have been made a bit clearer with the firt episode of the new seaason. There must be something I am missing.

@kamikazeken: Did you see it yet? Wild episode, don't want to give anything away here. Disappointed in the "Walking Dead" preview, the commercials ran longer than the preview. More like proof-of-life than a preview.

@klozitshoper: Part of the shows appeal is that you are watching the characters change due to circumstances before them. The main players are far different people than in the beginning of the series. Someone beginning the series now, would miss the more subtle (and not so subtle)nuances that have unfolded, and I would recommend that they start at the beginning of the series. For me it is about how the players got to where they are now, and watching the series of decisions that led to that direction. Surely others are just watching due to the action/crime portrayed, and someone who is watching purely for those reasons might not be as affected by missing the prior developments. Definitely not a show for everyone, very harsh themes.

@pickypickypicky: I will see if my on demand has past shows. Thanks.

you have to watch it from the beginning. You won't be sorry. I waited til season 2 was about to begin to start watching season 1, and after the first episode I was hooked. I ended up watching the entire first season in one viewing, it was so interesting.

If you can't find it on demand, it's worth netflixing or torrenting.

This show is always on my top-10 shows list. Right up there with dexter, sons of anarchy, sopranos, deadwood, carnivale, BSG, Damages, NYPD blue.... The writing, acting, and production values are unlike 99% of what is on tv today.

@pickypickypicky : did you catch the hidden clues in the episode titles of season 2?

@kamikazeken: I didn't notice it then, but did just now when we re-watched before the new one. I can't get points for observation though, it just showed up in order on the dvr, and there it was.
