So now that is has been a few weeks, what do folks think of the new JCPenney pricing strategy?

I was waiting for the new "best prices" (clearance) to be released on this past Friday, but I didn't really see anything new marked down. They do have some good deals, there were some t-shirts for $3-4 that were tempting. In my opinion, they need to make a bigger deal about what is marked down on the "best price" Fridays since people are so conditioned to look for sales.

Any thoughts?

I like it. Always thought the prices were pretty good there, like the full dollar number, and have done well in the clearance section.

i went the second day they were open. much better pricing, still not my style of stuff.

Overall, I like it, but I'm doubtful it will make a difference to their overall bottom line.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
