Do you care what you look like at the beach/pool/aquatic recreational centers?
I've noticed, that as I've gotten older, balder, grayer, plumper, wiser, that I could care less of other's perception of my body while I am in public. To many others in this day-and-age it is the exact opposite. Blame media, society, processed meat or whatever, but many have overly-dramatic fears of public beauty or perception of such. Should everyone be on a Jersey shore, heavily tanned and ripped bods? Or is the ultimate unattainable enlightenment is that we will never see ourselves like others do? Those blissfully ignorant of this, or with the fortitude of not caring, better off? What do you think?
I don't care about what I look like as much as I care about what other people look like. I mean, I don't have to look at ME, but they'd better be pleasant to my eyes :)
As long as my fiance thinks I look good, could care less about anyone else.
I use to care, but as you stated, you get older you care less. As long as my junk is covered I really don't care.
I don't go to public water anything. Why would I to swim in hundreds of people urine?
I care only to the degree that I am well dressed for the occasion with a little makeup. At my age, it just is what it is. I don't, however, think that is an excuse for slovenly dress or hygiene.
