Should Woot have a section specifically for Black Friday?
I think it would be cool to be able to share and find deals specifically for the event, leading up to it and maybe the few days/hours before. Might actually fit more in Local.woot. Thoughts?
It's Black Friday everyday on Woot!! I think like any other day the better deals will rise faster then the not so stellar deals. So I am good the way it is..
Wouldn't mind seeing a local Philly Woot though.... ahem
Nah - would be too hard to distinguish between BF and all the other deals.
Additionally it appears that Woot is not structured to display flyers/circulars/whathaveyou. Most of the sites that have BF sections have the ability to do this and/or display long lists of items per post.
I am sure that deals.woot will include a bunch of BF postings that are available online. There are already so many BF sites - not sure we need another.
deals.woot was built for things like black friday. unless there is a crab or bacon revolution going on, the "top" listing will help pick out the very best deals.
I'm excited for Black Friday, but I also think that this website is going to help clean out the good deals. Lets just hope I can help clean them out, instead of being last to the table like last year!
I wasn't too impressed by Black Friday last year anywhere. I kept thinking that there would be better deals - but I am only now seeing the TV deals I was looking for, and of course I want newer technology. Besides, I am very cheap- or should I say frugal.
I'm not sure how robust this site is but they have pretty good traffic and you can sign up for email alerts:
@ohcheri: I'm signed up for that one and another. They are both very good sites, and I don't have to sign up each year, as I've been getting their emails for at least 5 years starting in early October each year. It's a good way to plan the BF shopping trips and pick the stores/sites I want to visit. And, No for Woot to have a BF site or section.
i also found black friday ads .net
@chrisgame: Bfads.net is the site I've used for several years now. They seem to have ways to get the scoop early and are usually dead on accurate.
