IMHO I am thinking probably not. What if your friend gave you these items as a gift; I doubt the warranty would be voided. Or if you lived in the US, bought the items and then moved to Canada. However I am not a lawyer and haven't even stayed at a Holiday Inn Express anytime recently so YMMV.


I used to work at a major retailer. Once you bought something and took it outside of the US the warranty was voided. Now you can always have your friend buy and if something happens take it back to them and have them take care of the warranty. I doubt there is something that triggers in the product once you pass the border =).
