We just got a puppy for our kids (4, almost 3, and 16 months). She's a Blue Heeler and is a really laid back dog. She's great and I've never seen the kids so happy to clean up a mess as they are when she makes one.

I think it's the best decision we've made as far as pets go. I couldn't be happier with her and I look forward to having a story like yours

@thunderthighs: at first glance i thought this was a summons to play WOOT CLUE on kids.woot!! imagine the saddest face this side of the mississippi, then double it and that's me right now
i think local.woot gets less activity than kids.woot. at least the new york one. feel bad for slydon.. he tries..

I have a dog who's like my kid, but I don't have any children, so I don't qualify, lol

@thunderthighs: I was and did have many pets. Cats, dogs, a bunny, guinea pig... What I don't have are digital pictures of my childhood - mom's got 'em all and hasn't scanned them...

I went over there and enjoyed your post, but I don't know how to embed pictures in a post. My kid is my dog.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
