What do you think of shirt.woot offering daily designs on hoodies and aprons?
Starting today, the Daily shirts (Monday-Thursday) will be offered on a choice of t-shirt, apron, and hoodie; the apron and hoodie will only be available on a design's first day. What do you think of having the Daily design available on hoodies and aprons? Will you be more likely to buy from shirt.woot, more likely to be overwhelmed by choice, less likely to buy?
Probably not, but it's a good idea.
I would like to see a hoodie become a daily option. Especially if the hoodie blanks are high quality. Couldn't care less about aprons though.
I will keep my same requirements as before, the design has to be really, really good. To have it on a sweatshirt, it will have to be knock it out of the park to pull the trigger that quickly.
Wow, just noticed, it looks like they are now offering the design in kid's sizes as well. Must have been a long time since I bought a shirt since I have never seen that before.
I think with all the ways they're trying to diversify, I'm concerned about Shirt.Woot's long-term prospects.
It makes a lot of sense to offer the alternative options. The screens are setup for the day's shirt already, so it's just a matter of running that extra production run. Most of the expense in the screen printing portion is the setup, not the ink.
One huge aspect - I'm very glad they are maintaining the commission to the artist for the additional options.
@ganzhimself: The hoodies are good. Not that thick, but not too thin either. I don't need to wear mine often, though, so I can't vouch for their durability.
@wisenekt: The kid's sizes have been offered for over 4 years now. Alas, the referenced products no longer apply. :(
It's a nice option even though I won't be using it.
