What's on your nightstand?
I like simplicity and I can't stand clutter! On my nightstand I have:
Phone Charger
iPad Charger
Bottle of Water
Dog Cookies
Lamp
What do you have on yours? A fancy Sony Dash? Baconnaise?
I have the clutter you hate. Way too much stuff, mostly papers and books.
Do you get the late night munchies?
I dislike clutter too.
Phone
Lamp
Alarm clock
If I had dog cookies on my nightstand, they would have been gone in an instant! He never had self-restraint when it came to treats!
Lamp
Alarm Clock
SIGG Water Bottle (Thanks Woot)
Phone Chargers
Kindle Fire
Whatever I have in my pocket from the day before
clock/radio, cpap, watch
Sunglasses, fountain pen, wallet, keys, ipod, phone, bluetooth, a small tin of altoids, and my swiss army knife. Everything that lives in my pockets during the day, lives on that table at night.
7 pill bottles
1/2 jug Thunderbird
plate of partially eaten gyro
autographed picture of cal ripken, jr.
A fan. My glasses when I'm sleeping.
Alarm clock, large Maglight flashlight, book that I'm reading and, if the food bowl is empty, a cat.
Phone dock, alarm clock, kleenex, and a kindle.
A lamp, alarm clock, telephone, a Kindle and 2 very small photos of my late husband.
Sony Dash (Thanks woot!)
iPhone/iPod dock/clock radio
lamp
There is some stuff in a drawer inside, including the stash of catnip which, somehow, the cats managed to get into one night despite the closed drawer. Woke up the one of them rolling on the bag.
remotes, alarm clock, water bottle, KY massage oil set.
I hate clutter too.
Lamp
Alarm clock with digital display (only clock I own that isn't analog)
Cough drops
Coaster in case I need to set my coffee cup down in the morning
3 DVD set of Space Ghost Coast to Coast (thank you very much, Woot)
The cat, staring at me as I sleep. She's creepy that way.
My nemesis.. the alarm clock.
Whatever book I'm reading, and usually the next 3 stacked up.
Lamp
Eye glasses
Pen (no paper)
Emergency pager (Motorola Minitor V)
Well, I had my phone, some change and my glasses on it...but my cat pushed it all off so she could sleep there! Oh well :/
Lamp, lotion, kleenex box, tiny wooden chest with two drawers (containing chapstick and cough drops). All of it is white so it is pretty minimalist looking.
phone charger, glass of water, glasses (when I'm sleeping), flashlight.
iPhone/iPad charger
iPad
iPhone
Alarm clock
Watch winder

@conanthelibrarian: I have to say I saw that coming (pun intended). But it's because I live in a very dry climate -- we're currently at 95F with 2% humidity. I have lotion in every room in my house, my desk at work and my purse. Similarly, there's lip balm stashed in just about every clothing item with a pocket.
cpap, lamp, clock, phone charger, some loose change and that's about it.
Keys
Watch
Cell Charger
Alarm Clock
Remote
KY Lube (I like to party)
Alarm clock. I'm simple.
Top: Alarm clock, X-10 palm remote, three charger cables (draped over the top, one for my Acer Iconia tablet and two micro-USB for cell phones), and a 3M Lint Roller.
Inside (behind door): 30-40 rounds each of .45 and .380 ammo (partial boxes from my last trip to the range), two spare magazines in each caliber, soft gun case for the .380 pistol under my pillow, a bottle of massage oil and a Nintendo DS in a travel case with charger and bunch of game carts.
Bottom shelf: CPAP machine, flashlight and a partial roll of paper towels.
Whiskey glass, with three whiskey stones and two fingers of green label Bushmills single malt
two dog treats
.357 Sig
miniature statue of "The Duke" along with a piece of the "Quiet Man Bridge" from Oughterard County Galway that I brought back when I was there.
@baqui63: Dang. You're the third or fourth person to mention a CPAP machine. You made me look it up. Do not want
On the other hand, I love your extras the best of any mentioned so far. You just can't have too much ammo. :-D
[Edit] I have a 9MM Ruger that sleeps under the bed, near my hand. It used to be my Daddy's, so I believe it has extra magic that goes along with it.
Lamp
Alarm clock
Books
Timer (for naps)
Vornado Zippy fan
IPad
Kleenex
Uniden cordless phone (no land line, just use for intercom)
My nightstand : alarm clock & baby video monitor (sometimes phones)
Wifes nightstand: Lamp, tissue, touchpad, 2 remotes & her lotions
Guess I took "on your nightstand" literally. IN a drawer is my Beretta. One in the chamber. Safety on.
CPAP (actually it's technically a Bi-PAP)
Lamp
Tissues
Sony alarm/clock cube
Carmex
Phone
Below that are 2 drawers, who knows what's in them, I know there are some pictures, pens, paper, I just don't know what else though.
Haven't played with the DS in well over a year but it is there. With two cats that are more than 50% white, the lint roller is pretty much required every time I leave the house.
A CPAP machine may seem horrible but it is 100's of times better than untreated OSA. Without it, there is little point in me trying to sleep for more than about 90 minutes at a stretch--anything more just wastes time and stresses my heart, as I don't get rest when I'm waking up over 100 times an hour. Also, my gf is a very light sleeper and cannot sleep in the same bed with me unless I use the CPAP (with it, I do not snore at all).
Clock radio, big glass of juice, machete. Yes, a break in would be nasty.
Alarm, phone, foot lotion, body lotion, dust.
Baby monitor and three remote controls (TV, cable, PS3).
I need to keep the alarm clock on the other side of the room. If I can hit the snooze button without going completely vertical, I'm never getting to work on time.
I don't have a lot of clutter on my actual nightstand - just my medicines and the earrings I took off before bed. I can't have any drinks on my nightstand, or the cat knocks them over, so there's a water bottle on the floor below it.
Under my bed is my Squid surge protector, so my iPhone (aka alarm clock) charges next to me in bed.
On my chair next to my bed are the next day's clothes, the light (it clips to the chair), my laptop, and my iPad.
