I've actually only seen one chick flick in my entire life and it was The Ugly Truth, with Gerard Butler and Kathryn Heigl.

I have to admit, I am fond of the first wives club, although I haven't seen it in forever. That's about as chick flick as it gets.

Does Bridesmaids count as a chick flick? I just saw it, I thought it was pretty funny.

Is Shakespeare in Love a chick flick? I always like that one.

I'm fond of What Women Want (the Korean remake Netflix showed me a couple of months ago was hilarious), and I don't mind most romantic movies in general. But I don't consider romantic movies to be "chick flicks;" to properly fit that designation, it has to be so ridiculously poorly made that men can't be forced to watch it without either harsh penalties or large bribes (kind of like some action movies with some women, and a few men).

And besides, "guilty pleasures" are stupid. You like it, and there's nothing wrong with that. Enjoy and be happy.

Notting Hill
Someone Like You
The Cutting Edge
Love Actually

Edit: If something like Pretty Woman counts, then I'm adding High Fidelity.

Second edit: Scratch that ... I have no guilt about High Fidelity, so it can't count.

Anything but Ghost. Worst chick flick ever.

Think about it.

When he was alive, he couldn't say the words, "I love you". The only remotely romantic thing he did was smear wet clay all over Demi Moore. Not a very high standard. I think most guys could be talked into rubbing their bodies all over her without much complaint.

Then, even after he dies and is a disembodied spirit, he has to enter Whoopi Goldberg's body so he can touch her some more, proving he didn't really love her, he just lusted after her.

The Patrick Swayze character is THE EXACT OPPOSITE of what women say they want in a man. Now, if the Demi Moore character had been played by, say, Rosie O'Donnell, and he still couldn't keep his hands off of her, that would be a different story. But wanting to have sex with Demi Moore is no proof of his love, for goodness sake.

@mistamoose: Best movie on this list, but I don't think it's (just) a chick flick.

I always liked When Harry Met Sally, and as a second choice Sleepless in Seattle.
(The wife and I trade off - I get an action flick for every chick flick she gets. Keeps us married.)

Princess Bride and The American President are both great movies. Never really thought of them as chick-flicks nor as guilty pleasures though. Maybe my definition is just different than most other people's. My guilty pleasure chick-flick would have to be Cocktail. Tom Cruise (before he went crazy) with that smile and the fun music and, yeah there's not a lot of other good things you can say about the movie, but it's fun and I like it and, well, you did ask about guilty pleasure movies.

10 Things I Hate About You.

Bridesmaids SUCKED! I'm sorry, but that was not that funny. The best stuff was the brother/sister duo. The rest was meh.

@psaux: Notting Hill is my favorite movie. The sound track is so beautiful. I bought the dvd when it came out and the cd of the sound track.
