@cryos: no idea off the top of my head, but I do have a recent email from roku offering me a 20% discount on a roku 2 xd model as an "upgrade"... no reason to take it, other than some memory issues (I'd like to add more channels, but I ran out of room) the one's I have do just fine.

I know this is a bit old, but...

XD-S supports component out, but only with their special cable.

you can still buy XR model from amazon, which supports standard Component out cables. Also looks like there are a few N1100 models as well.
