I didn't really care. I wasn't excited about it and I didn't dread it. It was just something I had to do.

Except for a few years, I hated it. Always wanted summer to go on. I get the same feeling (to a lesser degree) every Sunday night.

I think it depends on the age I was and how fun my summer actually was. When I was really little I was excited about going back so I could see all the friends I didn't get to see over the summer. When I was able to drive and have a job in high school it was hard for me to end my summer. It was sad for me to not be able to work as many hours to make money. Funny thing is you don't think as a teenager that you will have to work the rest of your life and that you should be enjoying your summer break while it lasts.

For me it was my escape. I needed school.

It was like a countdown for me.

But maybe a week after school starts, I'm okay with it somehow.

Dreaded it at first, then enjoyed it. It meant the end of summer fun in a simpler time, but that was many moons ago.

Hated it. When I was in Kindergarten I went to school one day and came home and my mom told me that during the day my grandpa had died. For a few years after that I equated going to school with death and thought something would happen to my mom and dad while i was there.
