lol, yes, I do this from time to time.

It works because it dries out the area and forms a little protective shell/coating. Just make sure to wipe it off in the morning otherwise everyone will notice it and no one will say anything (known from experience).

I don't know about the whitening ingredient and whether or not that will affect it. I have only used regular, non-whitening toothpaste for this.

What I usually do is break/bust the pimple, dry it off, clean it with peroxide and then put the toothpaste on. If it is not ready to be popped, I just put a little bit on after washing my face. I can't remember using it on yet-to-form pimples, but I assume it will work as well.

Er....no. But I have used toothpaste to clean my diamond rings. Vastly different, I know. :-\

I tried it. I don't know if it worked or not, but it smelled minty fresh.

4 out of 5 dermatologists recommend Crest for unsightly blemishes.

No, but I once brushed my teeth with pimple cream. I don't recommend it.

@curtisuxor: I'd assume the whitening ingredient would help. Most of the time its some form of peroxide, which is a common active ingredient in many acne treatments (benzoyl peroxide).

I've never used toothpaste myself, but I do use a product by Clean & Clear (I think) and it works in a similar way, its a paste that helps dry out the pimple and has either salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in it.
