I thought it was cool that they used social media to build it. Some figure I saw was like 10,000 people helped. Talk about outsourcing.

I can kinda kinda see the advantage. If say I have my computer at home and I'm at work, at a cafe, or anywhere that has wifi and i can stream that way maybe. Going to read more about it in a bit. Who knows might have 3g. I haven't even looked at the page yet >.> but I see some small usefulness behind it. Not that I would ever buy a device that could only stream from my desktop. But eh thats just me.

edit: watched the two videos and yeah.. i'll pass. I'll stick with my gameboy for gaming on the go and my laptop for when im at a temporary location. IE: hotel, work, etc..

Looks nice, but I am just not in the market for that.

I'm not going thumbs up on it yet. Let's see what happens when it hits the market......

Looks cool and potentially more functional than similar things like the WiiU's tablet controller, or Sony's remote play functions with the psp/vita since it's apparently running on android. I'm curious as to the pricing (compared to the 3DS and PSVita) and battery life

@cheezybeez: Thanks, I did not know the PSVita ran any Android OS. I'll have to look into that. I have a PSVita, but didn't buy it for the remote-play since I don't have a PS3.

@sporadic: Oops! sorry to mislead, but the Vita doesn't run android (project shield does though). I've messed around with remote play and it's kind of a mixed bag. It's similar to the shield in streaming content from the console, but remote play has limitations like only a handful of games are compatible and you can't stream disc based movies (but digital files work). Sony is claiming that you can use the vita like the wiiu tablet controller with the ps4 (but they also said something similar when the vita was announced...)
Since the Shield is streaming from a pc I'm hoping there will be a better selection of games (maybe some kind of partnership with steam?)
