Can we get bigger Sizes on shirt.woot ?
So I now the official statement is
The Woot Tee follows a classic closer-fitting style. If you prefer a baggier look, order a larger size. If there is not a larger size, consider starting a belly-hanging-out trend.
I have totally embraced the belly trend but my wife is complaining. Could we get some bigger sizes ?
If not can we get a good reason why not ?

probably not unless there is sufficient demand.
The reason is that American Apparel doesn't make them bigger.
And before someone else suggests to go with a different manufacturer, the day Woot shirt blanks stop being made in the USA is the day I stop buying them. BTW, I should crack the 200 mark by the end of the year.
It's good to have goals, LOL. My husband calls this the holiday eating season, and says it starts on Halloween.
As far as larger shirts, I love the quality, but they don't have a good size for me, either. The women's run comically small, as if the sizes are determined by former hooters management. It's not my fault that I have 80's shoulders, dammit! Since I now have 2 shirts I can't wear in public, I guess I'll move to the men's sizes next, and contour them myself. At least it is an option.
I would say your wife needs to stop complaining about the shirts not fitting you, but rather that you cant fit the shirts...
Try going out and showing off those shirts on the bike path or something someday... might do ya some good ;) Sure you can get them to fit right...
I have been thinking the same thing. I would buy more shirts if they were a better fit for me. I would love to them add a Tall selection to the mens side, I am 6'3" tall and the 2XLT would be a nice addition.
Would be a good thread that gets more attention over in shirt.woot :)
While we're dreaming let's have a feminine cut added, too!
3XLT
@narfcake: Wait, you have 200 Woot shirts? Do you wear all of them? What type of rotation are they on? Do you own other shirts as well? Sorry if I'm asking too many questions..........
@narfcake: It would be nice, however, if Woot could find a manufacturer whose CEO wasn't known primarily for his bizarre sexual antics with employees and reporters.
If they were to change sources and ultimately lose your business, they'd probably make it up with mine.
I am not a fan of the snug fit tee-shirts. I have bought a couple I found very entertaining but the fit is an issue. I wear a larger to XL depending on the brand so I played it safe and ordered 2XL. While the "body" of the shirt fits well it is still very snug at my shoulders and arms (and no I am not a body builder so it's not normal). But the biggest issue is the length. I am around 6'0" tall and compared to other shirts it fits me like a dress. I am use to shirts that come down to somewhere around the pockets on jeans while these come down to almost the middle of my thighs. I love that the shirts are fully made in the USA but really do wish they had sizing that is more in line with "standard" sized shirts. I know I would purchase more if they fit me better....but maybe its a good thing...my bank account sure thinks it is, lol.
@magic cave: Yeah, Dov is a perv, but I'm looking it more on the aspect that the shirts are made in the USA and the company pays their employees a decent wage. $13 an hour - that's over 50% higher than California's minimum wage.
It's not the one at the top I care about. It's the thousands working below him that cut, that sew, that sells, that ships, that drives, and in turn, that keeps the money right here in the USA, that I care about.
The economy here didn't collapse overnight. Rather, it was because companies saw that paying $5 a day for an employee in another country meant more profits for themselves. Lay off hundreds of employees here and move south or overseas. Employees that used their wages to buy stuff here, and spread the money around their communities. Wages ... that don't exist anymore.
But I digress.
@mikecris: Almost 200 - I don't think I'm there yet. Rotation ... it's more random than random day. Some I wear a lot, some I haven't even washed yet from 2 years ago.
@mikecris: As for the others ... my Woot collection is smaller than my Animaniacs collection.
A good number of my Woot shirts were acquired on the secondary market, though. Thrift stores, yard sales, etc.
@narfcake: WHERE DO YOU LIVE!?! (a semi serious question) I wish my town had thrift stores, yards sales, etc. that had Woot shirts :/
@lordwoot: SoCal. I tend to hit at least 5 thrift shops every week, looking for who-knows-what. A majority of the times, though, I'll find zero. Still, the minority of the times that I do find one adds up over the years.
@narfcake: Thank you for your reply; I'm in complete agreement with you on the jobs issue. Since their shirts don't fit me or my spouse well, however, it's currently a moot point. Should they change their fit/style to be more in line with standardized sizes, I'd start buying them. My adverse response to Mr. Perv doesn't carry enough weight to keep me from supporting USA based companies.
@narfcake: Ahh.... the thrill of the hunt!
Maybe instead we should be clamoring for a fitness.woot?
@magic cave: ... and on the corollary, if they went to the "standard" boxy cut (wider/shorter), then it won't fit me very well. I like that they're sufficiently long even in a size L so that lifting my arms won't mean my fuzzy belly is revealed or that vertical smile when I bend over.
Thrift shopping is my way of extending my dollars too. Most of my small kitchen appliances came from thrift stores for under $10. A $30 toaster oven is considered expensive, since I bought my last two that were convection, even, for $10 and $8 in like new condition.
