Any other Scion FR-S First 86 Club Members on Woot?
Scion/Toyota recently had a contest called "The First 86" where they picked 86 persons to have an opportunity to be the first owners of their new sports car.
I was selected and put my money down (I had been considering the car anyway), and was wondering if there were others on Woot.

Not me, but I was an early adopter of the 1st generation of Scions. My Scion xB was one of the first 10 sold in my state (sixth to be exact.)
I hadn't seen the new Scion yet. That thing looks sweet.
@rustybender: Yea, a return to the "good old days" of light, (relatively) cheap Japanese sports cars. It's a joint venture between Toyota and Subaru. Very low CG, focused on the "driving experience". The Subaru version is the BRZ.
To see what it looks like "live" check out this ad from Subaru, its the car at the end. Caution, its in Japanese, but you won't need to understand it for the commercial to bring a tear to your eye! Very well told story.
Very nice looking car. Reminds me of the Hyundai Genesis coupe.
@mhodges: I didn't know it was a joint venture with Subaru, but when read the specs I was wondering when Toyota got into the business of making boxer engines. Now I know.
Did they tell you what the full price would be when you put your money down?
@rustybender: No, not yet. The price is still TBA but the target price was low to mid-20s and the outside US prices that have been posted so far would seem to fall right in line with that.
The deposit is fully refundable up until after I get to test drive the car, so I was happy to be able to reserve a spot in line since these are going to be relatively low volume models.
If you're really interested, a good source is http://www.ft86club.com . They have collected a lot of good info on both models and a list of reviews. So far, all the car rag reviews have been very positive.
@thefenst: Its more the size of a Honda S2000 if it were a coupe. About the same height but "stretched" a few inches.
Here are some good overall size comparisons photoshops:

If you are familiar with the Scion Tc, here's a comparison picture nose-to-nose: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3515
Waiting for the Subaru branded version. I just can't bring myself to own a Scion, and can't fathom why they wouldn't have just branded it as a Toyota. I mean... Scions are their slow, looks/comfort-based, tween-demographic oriented line.
Why put a car with actual performance in there, when they could keep it on the same brand as the Supra line?
No idea why they decided to brand it Scion in US/Canada, as it is branded Toyota elsewhere. The Scion is cheaper than the Subaru BRZ, but of course you give up things to get that (missing HIDs and Nav in the base model).
Fortunately, I don't care about the branding or the "missing" features, so I get to save a little money.
Also, because I was one of the First 86 I got a free trip to Long Beach, CA to hang out at the HQ, test drive the car, be wined and dined for 3 days, and attend the premier of the Scion sponsored Formula D drift car.
Not too shabby. My car is going to be in the second week in May, can't wait!
Lot of info on the http://www.ft86club.com forums for anyone interested in learning more about the car.
