Did you use a coupon the last time you dined out? What did you have?
With all the restaurant deals popping up I figured I would ask.
We went out to Chilis last night to get our free Pretzel's. Both my wife and I got the Mango Chicken, it was awesome! Over the weekend we went to Outback and got our free lunch BOGO. I got the 1/2 Filet Focaccia Sandwich and salad. We didn't dine out often, but it seems like we are dining out more now. And we NEVER used coupons, but we do now.....THANKS!
Did you use a coupon the last place time ate out? What did you have?
On Friday, we skipped lunch in favor of popcorn at the movies. We had purchased the 1yr refillable drink cups, so we got 44oz sodas for $3 each and I had a coupon that gave a free popcorn if a drink is purchased, which we were able to upgrade to the obscenely large size for $1. For dinner we used a $10 Groupon for $20 worth of Japanese food. On Saturday Sonic had their foot long hot dogs on half price and drinks are half price after 2pm, so we went and got 5 foot longs, 2 44oz drinks and a snack pack of onion rings for $13. We saved hot dogs for lunch on Sunday and Monday. Saturday night I had the 50% off code for Papa Johns, so we picked up two large fully loaded pizzas for $15, ate part of each and saved the rest for dinner Sunday and Monday. So for $45 we got lunch and dinner for two for Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon. That's about par for my course, I never pay full price for anything.
I did! I took my fiance and two of her out-of-town friends to a local mexican restaurant.
I mysteriously got a $10 voucher for restaurant.com, so I used it!
@moondrake: Perfect!

I second restaurant.com!!
Great deals on local restaurants in my area.
Just be careful when buying and using them. They have limitations.
(ex: One per table, Min food order $, no alcohol...etc.)
They also have an iphone app so you don't have carry a paper coupon with you.
You can even buy the deal on the door step of the restaurant on your phone before you go in.
I often go out to dinner with a coupon but rarely remember to use it. I'd be better off completely ignoring coupons altogether since they cause me to spend money I normally wouldn't.
We have a Ruby Tuesday's about 5 minutes from home, and they've been putting coupons in our local paper, so last week went there for dinner, it was buy one, get one 50% off. The week before that it was BOGO (up to $10 off). The way I see it I can have that $7 frozen drink and it's almost like it's free!
Yay coupons!!
I just went and got the bogo on breakfast sandwiches at Einsten Bagel. Love those! Groupon for Uncle Vinny's Pie co last Friday and a tasty pizza this Friday from Papa Johns for free :)
careful with restaurant.com ... I got a few terrible deals from there when trying to use them for a vacation location. The places they recommended were total crap, and two did not take my certificates, and one was a crappy dive hotel lobby joke.
I think restaurant.com makes sense if you already know the place and can gauge if you're getting a deal. Don't use it for places you are not familar with.
I use a coupon every time I go out to eat.
Even if it might be a free desert or app.
BOGO Chipotle!
I buy an Entertainment book every year too but I am very disappointed with the 2013 one. Actually, I'm just disappointed that my neighborhood has no restaurants anymore so everything in the book is 20-30 minutes away. Yay for the $@#% economy.
Denny's has this 10-15% (I forgot which number it was) off the bill deal every now and then but I always forget.
I know it might not seem much, but think of it as going tax free (in California that is) or getting a free drink (our bill is usually around the $40's).
I'm not sure if this is coupon related (you didn't need a coupon) but I love those two for $20 deals which comes with appetizers, desert and two entrees.
I use Shoprunner for free domino's delivery and their app for coupons. Texas Roadhouse have cheaper dinner if you are there by 6 and frequently email coupons for apps., and Chili's and Applebee's have the 2 for $20. We only eat out once a week, but we save money while we do.
I'm on Bob Evans' mailing list and frequently get a coupon BOGO free breakfast. Used one yesterday morning. Also on Perkins list and often get 20% off the total bill. First Watch sent me a coupon for a totally free entree. Panera says I have a sweet waiting for me. I love restaurant coupons.
We pre-ordered WingStop for the game on Sunday. However, since I don't like wings per se (I get the strips), we weren't able to use their big advertised coupon from the email I got. Sadly, that means we also weren't entered in their contest. :P
