@misterron: ever so slightly
Cause "Bowties are cool"

@philosopherott: Does Dr. Who have anything to do with your bowtie Friday?

vote-for3vote-against

@philosopherott: Yup! Fortunately we've got the product rep in the thread itself to provide additional information. I hope it helps you out!

@inkycatz: I tried to tag you in the discussion for the Gunnar glasses along with others and there was no link to go with the tag. That is how this question came to be.

P.S. off topic bowties are cool. I initiated bowtie Friday at work at my new job. Noone follows but i get great feedback from a lot of people

@tippypaws: Click on "Your Account" next to your user name. Then check under "Email Preferences" to see if you are subscribed!

I don't get an email even if someone does it in deals.woot. Oh well.

And not everyone subscribes to getting email when they are mentioned, either...

@theoneill555: But PMs do not send an email saying, "Hey you have a PM!" either.

vote-for8vote-against

@falcondeal: Correct - @ tagging is only on deals.woot

On the flip side, woot proper has PMs and deals doesn't

vote-for5vote-against

@theoneill555: for deal.woot only... right?

@philosopherott: Not that I know of, otherthan coming into deals.woot and @ tagging them then providing a link to the woot.com discussion.

vote-for4vote-against

@falcondeal: so is there a way to tag them activly so they will see it? I don't usually do non deals woot discussions.

Just a note - the "@" will only generate an email if the person tagged has turned on the notification email in their settings

Short answer: no.

You can put the '@' sign in front of their username, but they will not get an email about it.
