Who bought the Walmart Kindle Fire deal today?

I was really hoping Amazon would price match the GC and save me the $15 in tax, but I did run out and get one as a gift for my dad. I got the last one too..Must be a really popular item for V-day. Anyone else get lured in by that enticing GC?

Basically Wal-Mart was selling the Kindle Fire for regular price, and then giving folks a $50 gift card.

Got 1 for Christmas, and really love it. My wife has now claimed it as hers, now that I think about it the GIFT was from her...... HMmmmm interesting. I might have to go get another for me now.

I went in yesterday morning and they had no idea what I was talking about. I showed them the ad on my phone and they looked it up themselves. Even after verifying the deal, it wasn't in their system so they didn't know what do do about the gift card. Eventually, they rang up the gift card separately and put it through as if I had paid cash for it. Little bit of a hassle, but all worked out in the end.
