I saw it on MSN. He was a nice character actor.

Sad. He was a great actor, and a very gentle and kind person. I met him personally twice, and he never failed to impress us with his gentle demeanor and his generous smile. RIP.

John Coffee was the man. RIP

I hadn't heard, thanks for posting. He was good!

What I want to know is why he died after Omarosa left his room.

"...his passing came very suddenly. We're told his fiancee, Omarosa Manigault, was with him in his hospital room in Los Angeles and left for a short period of time. When she returned ... he had died."

I think she pulled the plug on big man.

@lll0228: I met him once when I was stuck at a dead end Macy's job a few years ago. Nicest guy ever, didn't mind people coming up to him asking for autographs/pictures while he was trying to buy a new shirt and suit.

Yes, I heard that. It's sad. He was a good actor IMO who looked like a big tough guy who was a teddy bear inside.

I'll expect a touching tribute of Craig Ferguson's show Tuesday night. They seemed to have such a good time together in Scotland earlier this year.

He seemed like a decent guy - always liked his movies.. I started watching the finder too, so that sucks he's not going to be on anymore (if it airs next season)

Here's a strange interview w/ Olivia Munn.. gets a little um... "aggressive" there towards the end :)

The Finder did not get renewed. He was the only one on there I actually liked ... I will miss him. He was brilliant in The Green Mile and very funny in Armageddon. I never read a bad word about him. Not so many can live 54 years and be celebrities and have folks able to say that. He must have been a fine man.

That's a shame. Thanks for sharing!

"Leaving, on a jet plane". RIP
