Fortunately, Woot hasn't allowed Facebook and Twitter to commandeer them yet. I'm sure it's only a matter of time, but I hope it's a matter of self-dignity

FB and Twitter are racing to become the latest MySpace.

Am so hoping that deals.woot stops/ignores/avoids the insidious march of FB and Twits(sic).

I have to admit I am on Facebook every day. Sure, I have issues with it. But for the most part I enjoy it and have "met" some great people from all over the world.
Sometimes I see deals that are so good I want to share them with others. Of course if an FB feature were allowed on Deals.Woot, it must be optional to use it. No one would be forced, so those who hate FB can just ignore it.
I would like to hear from woot staff too: what do you think having this feature?

I've passed this suggestion right onward - thanks for the idea! :)

It's something I bet we'd like to do, but not something that's on the top of our priority list right now. We are working on our external presence and with that will come the inevitable influx of sharability and we know not everyone's looking forward to it for various reasons. Soooo we'll need to find a way to reconcile the one side that really really wants to share things/see the links and the other side that hates social media in general.

@inkycatz @agingdragqueen Thanks for your responses. Not an easy task to please everyone. Maybe when the time comes you can start out with the lesser of two social media evils, Twitter.

Until then I will resume my copy/paste routine.
