Thanks! I use Restaurant.com to eat out maybe 1-2 times a month so this deal is worth it.

vote-for1vote-against

I am not receiving the 90% off at checkout after my items have been added to my card. Are you sure no coupon code is needed?

vote-for0vote-against

Their site is sooooo slow must be all the wooters snagging the deal. Word of warning Always ALWAYS read the fine print. Some certificates are good for lunch only so don't be buying $100 certificates that require a $300 purchase if you are not prepared to take the entire football team with the menu prices.

vote-for2vote-against

must enter WOW as coupon code.

vote-for4vote-against

Well for 90% off I guess we can forgive the "no coupon code required" when WOW is the coupon code.

vote-for1vote-against

This is awesome, Am saving a ton of money but do read the fine print. Some restaurants exclude weekends and all have a total requirement you must spend in order to grant this deal.

Makes great gifts though!!

Coupon code WOW, for "WOW, the site is slow as hell today"

vote-for1vote-against

"Not eligible for Promo Codes – No discount applied".

The banner states that $25 gift cards are selling for $1 with code, "WOW", but that's the message I get every time.

Won't let me checkout now, get it together restaurant.com

vote-for2vote-against

I think there site.. is.... about..... to...... crash.....

vote-for3vote-against

I can't check out either. The "Proceed To Checkout" button on the "View Cart" page links back to the "View Cart" page, so it just refreshes the page. I'm trying to find the actual URL to pay for my certificates and I'll post here if I find it.

Edit: Oh man they just removed the phone number to order certificates. They must be slammed.

This is a great deal. This is the first time I have seen 90% off from restaurants.com. They typically offer only 80%. I think I am going to buy some additional cards.

vote-for2vote-against

@kaveman212c: Check the restaurant(s) you have selected. Some of them are clearly marked Not eligible for Promo Codes.

vote-for2vote-against

The 90% discount only appies to certs for specific restaurants, not for the gift cards that allows the recipient to choose what restaurant they want to use it for. it's still a killer deal though, I've been buying thru them for years & have never seen this much of a discount.

vote-for3vote-against

Careful, some restaurants don't accept these any more but apparently Restaurants.com won't stop selling them. (The Red Door, Burien, WA)
Check the restaurants website or with the waiter before you order, that way you'll only be out a buck or two.

vote-for1vote-against

I had no problem ordering & checking out, although pages took forever to load. It wouldn't let me look at my account, so I'm pretty sure I ordered some that I've bought in previous 80-80% off deals. I just used one last month that saved me $50 off a $150 dinner (would have been $100 without wine) that cost me $2.50.

These guys sold me a $50 (requires you to spend $100) to TradeWinds at the CoCo Key Water Resort in Orlando, FL... We drive out there to eat only to find that the "restaurant" is a table with 4 chafing dishes of pasta, price is about $7 and kids eat free. I'd need to take 14 adults and 14 kids to use it! And they are still offering it for sale!!!

I'll avoid both the Tradewinds and Restaurant'com.

vote-for1vote-against

This is still going on. Go for it

vote-for1vote-against

@wingnut99: You can look at the menus for the restaurants on the restaurant.com site- might avoid those kind of mistakes in the future. If you contact their customer service (after the deal is over), you might be able to trade in that certificate for one from another place- I've done that before.

vote-for1vote-against

@scoobytx: We did! The still have it up on line today, Good looking Steaks and all but they closed the kitchen a year ago! It's not the few bucks we paid for the deal, it's the fact that we wasted a night of our vacation driving there only to find the 4 chafing dishes and worse it was Kiddy karaoke night!

I got an e-mail this morning "Failed Restaurant.com Order Followup." Guess their servers fell victim to the deals.woot effect.

Can I take back my vote?

Added on edit: I guess not. Woot staff has composed a multi-paragraph response to the attempt to take back a vote.
