I guess if this got good ratings then it would be good.

From my research a top rated security suite is the full service protection

how many pc can you use it on?

Darn. Again it's for the physical software, aka, a CD-ROM. If it were only the license itself, I'd buy it right away, but there's no way I'm paying international shipping to same money on this deal.

I scooped this up last week @ The Egg for $9.99 and it included a 8GB Flashdrive.

@selvaje: I know. I missed that deal :(

"Lifetime"? Is that your lifetime, the PC's lifetime, or until Malwarebytes comes out with a new version? Anyone here old enough to remember WinZip's "lifetime" free upgrades that weren't?

@stanleys: I wondered the exact same thing - couldn't find anything on it though. I figure I'll get it and see how long it lasts. Whether it lasts or not, they're only going to make money off of me once :)

I've used the free version to save my a$$ more times than I want to think about. As the family tech support, I have to deal with in-laws that click on any "you have a virus" pop-ups that appear. Their free version is the only one that's ever cleaned browser hijackers for me with no problem.

I'd be happy to buy the disk.

Oh, from their website: "Consumers and personal users pay a one-time fee of just $24.95!" I interpret that as free upgrades. I'll get one and see what happens in a couple of years.

Does anyone know if they offer a version that can be used on multiple computers AND comes with lifetime licensing & application and database updates? Also the family tech support guy and we got some "clickers"....."oh look, it says click here to clean my pc!" click. boom. :-/

This suite has always saved me where others have failed, well worth it in my book.

Cosign on Malwarebytes coming up clutch for me a couple times. I'm very careful on the internet, however my roommate has a penchant for downloading music from suspicious sites while on my computer.

I jumped on this when it was 9.99 however I would HONESTLY pay the 19.99 normal cost that newegg has it at in a heartbeat.

I have used the free download version and it worked well. What advatages are there to the paid version?

Great software, may not always get all the viruses at once but over time, they will figure how to delete them.

I kept using the free version over the years.

I finally broke down and bought the program.

I have used the same program on four computers.

I don't want to seem like a nerd/snob, but honestly? I'm fine with the free version. I did have access to a professional copy a while ago, and it installs all the bells and whistles, but then I kept getting a little bubble pop up from the system tray every 5 seconds saying it was blocking an IP, and that to me is annoying as hell. Free will always be fine for me, and 9 times out of 10 this cleans a spyware-infested computer well enough that I don't have to reformat and reinstall windows.
