I bought an earlier version twelve years or so ago. I replaced it with the 100-300, which is a much better lens (and I still use it).

I'd also suggest looking at the EF-S 55-250mm IS. It looks like Abe's posted a deal for that lens as well. I get better photos with that lens than I do with the 75-300.

@killjoy: The truth! You're much better off going with a 24-70 or 70-200 if you have the budget for a zoom. This lens isn't that great.
