I used to see charitable things on the side deals all the time. Glad to see this.

this isn't a deal... i'm saving more money by not giving.

@dav92178: Perhaps, sir, this is a deal for your heart, which seems a few sizes too small. Just saying.

@shrdlu: I kind of agree with @dav92178. It would be nicer if this site was matching donations. Then it would be like giving a donation at 50% off.

Still, this is a great site and it is nice to see it posted and hit popular nevertheless.

And yes you are right this is a deal for the heart.

Just so everyone knows, if you give to JustGive, while your money goes to the charity you want (minus a fee) your donation is technically to JustGive and not to that charity. The charity receives a check from JustGive and they are the legal donor of the funds. They get used for what you want so it won't matter to most people but if you're concerned about being included in any recognition pieces or being a donor you may or may not be considered one depending on how the charity handles "soft credits". If you're donating to a school this could affect their alumni giving rate as well.

Bottom line, if you want to donate to a charity try their website first.

@privatejoker25: Certainly. I agree completely, but it IS nice to see a charity up here. I note that Deals also (currently, in my browser, in any case) has a link for http://www.hopeequity.org/ which focuses on hunger and poverty.

Sometimes the best gifts are those we give to others.

@privatejoker25: so it's actually even less of a deal then.... great.

Not a deal. Shouldn't be here.

What a great deal! This is the cheapest I've seen anywhere! I'm in for three.

@privatejoker25: Thank you for this thoughtful comment. Giving to your local charity is always the very best. I am content in having reminded people to do so.
