$189.90 for Oak (more for other colors) on Amazon. Two reviews. One says it works great as a printer stand. The other's came broken but Southern Enterprises sent replacement parts.

I'm not sure people really looked at the deal, just upvoted so they can pump up their rank or gain some karma.woot

I wonder how this would fair outdoors during the patio season in New England. It would make a nice, compact set up for our narrow deck, especially being able to stow the stools away.

Likewise I wonder if the finish would accept Spar to seal everything up.

Hmmmm....

if I dont know where my measuring tape is....any way to approximate how tall this is without trying to balance sheets of paper on top of one another and doing math?

@anoted: A tad under counter height. Or counter height if you take off your counter tops :)

Just talked to SEI and the CSR wasn't 100% sure about my questions. She is going to have someone call me tomorrow though. I suspect this won't pan out for my application, but at least I talked immediately to a real, English speaking person which was awesome. Granted with a TX souther drawl ;)

Since I am not a starving student anymore I am not allowed to buy knockdown furniture put together with camlocks.

I remember seeing this at Big Lots for somewhere around 130. The one I saw was stainless steel and granite topped too. Not exactly a deal. That said, retail priced, this sucker is about 200 ish. So from that perspective, possibly a deal. Anybody know what quality kind of wood this is built with?

@gryhnd: found it. it's the one tool that people constantly "borrow". I have three and yet somehow, they are never where they are supposed to be. honestly!

eh....not really what I was looking for anyway. but when I can't measure I always imagine and squish and squash it into every place.

@kerowyn:

according to the site:

"Legs made from solid Asian hardwoods
Durable birch veneer top"

so basically, no, no idea what kind of wood or the quality...they more one seems to actually sidestep the type of wood used the more suspicious I'd be.....

Well, I never heard back from SEI. But I'm not going to pursue it. I'm pretty certain this won't work for me outdoors in New England.
