The price still intermittently shows $13.49, but when you get to checkout it goes up to normal price

@jimmyd103: Fine print on the web page says, "Online Only"
I don't think out of stock is the reason this time.

I am pretty sure that 6pt socket will round a nut before a 12pt??

@anthgothlz: I think you're bitching in the wrong thread

Install the coupon printer? No thanks, I have a printer.

Man, either give me the coupon or don't, but don't make me install your stupid app to do it.

Who needs or wants dental floss that badly?

Exactly...

I just wish the item description (in the OP) would tell me how many contact points these have.
...he said sarcastically.

@lparsons42, There's more than a few Craftsman hand tools made in China now. I have several pairs of pliers, a pair of wire cutters, and two 'dogbone' wrenches that were made over there. I snapped one pair of Craftsman branded chinese made-wire cutters trying to cut a usb cord, and one of the 'dogbone' wrenches will break or strip the bolt the first time I try to use it, as one of the ends wasn't completely welded.

They will still do the replacement on those tools, but why would I buy chinese-made Craftsman tools at the higher price when Harbor Freight tools have the same warranty and are cheaper?

@firebirdude: The main thing I don't like about Northern Tool is that most of the tools they sell are made in China. Might as well be buying from Wally World or Harbor Freight.

Of course, we all know that Sears is selling a lot of Craftsman-branded items that are themselves made in China. Thankfully at least at the moment the hand tools are still USA-made. Things like floor jacks are often through China, power tools through any of a number of places, and without checking the label the rest could be anywhere.

I'd definitely hop on this if I needed them. I just picked up a set last fall & won't need new ones unless I lose this set.

@pinfar: Good to know. Free shipping over $49 though.

vote-for1vote-against

not bad for some lifetime warranty sockets!

Just chatted with a customer service rep. This item is not available for in-store pickup and shipping is around $6.50.

vote-for1vote-against

@jimmyd103: Nope. Only available for shipping no matter what my location is set to. Even when there are none available at any of the nearby stores, I still get the option for in-store pickup shown for other items.

vote-for1vote-against

@lparsons42: Exactly. See if you have a Northern Tool near you. Buy online and pick up in store.

vote-for1vote-against

And its available for gift wrap!

vote-for2vote-against

@bdoug399: If free in-store is not available to you then they must be sold out in your local store. Try changing your "home store" and see if the in store pick up option becomes available.

vote-for3vote-against

Not seeing any free pickup for these. Only says it's available for shipping.

Worth noting these are made in the USA and not the Chinese stuff they have been switching to lately.

@firebirdude: I tried to find the same set in metric, but had no luck; peculiar. Personally I would want it in metric, 6 point. I've rounded far too many bolt heads with 12 point sockets.

vote-for1vote-against

It's a good deal... just wish they were Metric.

EDIT: The closest I've found in quality and price is from Northern Tool.

I have the deep wells from this set. They have the easy-read numbers (which is awesome btw) and don't seem to be cheap material that rounds out over time. Limited Lifetime Warranty same as Craftsman. Just trying to help anyone interested...
