I bought these from Woot! and I love them. I put them on my TV for the Roku and Laptop. Although I tried to keep the overall volume the same as I was using before (I was doing A-B tests to hear the difference), apparently the Bass works well enough to generate retaliatory actions by my neighbors.

There were some folks grumbling about the 30 min auto-off, but if I pause the TV for more than 30 min, I am usually up anyway...

I was a fan of Audyssey in my Denon AVR ("donated" to ex-wife)...

How will these fair with my iMac? They're not wireless, so that'll be a hassle. But does anyone know if I can use these while simultaneously using the built-in speakers(which are pretty good as far as computers go)?

Thanks,

I bought these speakers and plugged them into my computer, no sound--- what gives.

I bought these at the last woot off and they sound good. Not super loud but loud enough for computer use. Bass is pretty good and build quality is solid. The 30 minute shut off feature doesn't bother me at all and in fact it's nice because now I don't have to bother with turning them off when I walk away like I used to do with my old crappy speakers. They are $80 and my feeling is that they are worth it but overpriced at their retail price. I'm not a computer speaker aficianado though so my only reference of comparison are my higher end studio monitors and the crappy speakers I had before.

Used these in the suit during my sisters wedding, plenty loud with enough bass to get the place kicking.

Bought these last time they were up and am quite impressed. Use 'em with my Sansa while working out. They're not super loud but the sound clarity is excellent.

I purchased these speakers a few weeks ago - thought they were just OK, kinda quiet until I hooked them up with the optical input - WOW!!!! I would not suggest that you purchase these unless you are able to hook them up optically - the sound is greatly enhanced and the soundstage is full in this fashion - I thought that the bass feature was nothing much until I hooked it up optically - the bass adds so much to the sound! I have them hooked to a Grace digital amplifier/receiver, and they sound great!

I bought them last time too. Another vote of total confidence here. Having all of the inputs and the headphone jack is awesome and thoughtful. They pack a bigger punch than their size, so they're perfect if space is an issue.
