We're phasing these out at my work...age being the main reason.

Two common issues with these... leaking capacitors and noisy HDD fans. Capacitors you can just see... bulging is common, leaking very easy to spot.
Noisy HDD fan you'll know soon as you power it up.

But otherwise a nice enough system. Some PSU failures, but mainboards/cpu/memory have had a near spotless record.

Google it -- you can get it, for example, at newegg.com for $145, and at other shops for around the same price.

(For some reason, I don't quite trust eBay merchants -- for example, this PC comes up listed at $300, as noted earlier, not the stated price.)

They are looking into the price be on the lookout for a fix.

I've got one of these. Been on 24/7 for the past 3 or 4 years straight. It's right next to me now, in my bedroom, and I can't even hear it over our ceiling fan. Mine is really quite and very solid. Not issues to speak of. Put a SSD in mine and upgraded the CPU a bit, not that it really needed it. Nice, low power machine. Not really a gaming machine, but it runs Rocksmith with the Video card I have in there and that is theonly game I own, so there.

This seller pctake2 on eBay is actually Blair Technology Group. Note on the eBay items for sale some of the illustrations have "BTG" on the monitor. Don't blame anyone for being wary of eBay sellers.

I point this out not to warn people but as a reassurance. As I've said before here, I plan to get a new Win7 desktop to replace my XP before 7 is gone for good. And BTG is where I'll go to get it.

You can search for BTG on the web and buy one that way if you're more comfortable there than eBay.

@souka: is right. Too bad you could not take the windows 7 licences with you to a different PC, then it would be worth the gamble.

@choppinrice: Sorry about that. We had a glitch last night when the listing went live, but all should be well at the moment. Please let us know if you have any concerns and we'll be happy to help!

@eco2geek: Yea, there was an issue with the pricing when the listing went live and that is our bad. I assure you that you have nothing to worry about when purchasing from us, plus everything comes with a one year warranty. Let us know if you have any questions and we'll be happy to assist.

Hello Wooters! I just wanted to say we're sorry for the price mishap that happened when the listing went live. Everything should be up and running as advertised and we'll be here all day to answer any questions.

I've bought computers twice from Blair (both cheapo XP systems) and both times I've had a good experience. I think there's a well-founded fear of buying anything electronic from eBay that costs more than a few bucks, but I consider Blair a trusted vendor and I suspect this deal would have been better received if it lead directly to Blair instead of eBay.

I have the 745 version of this computer running XP using it to post at this very moment. LOVE it I've gone through several computers in the last few year (too poor for new and I don't want to give up XP). I had to call in a change my order not long after i made it and they were able to make the changes I needed with no hassle Very Happy Blair Buyer
