I just ordered a chill pill set of speakers. Similar concept to this but it is a pair $39.00 on Amazon

For reference, the ones on ThinkGeek are:
- $2 more
- smaller in size
- have a shorter battery life

However, the site doesn't provide any information on sound quality; but if you find that information, the ThinkGeek ones are:

I got a couple off Dilleyo a few months back and think they are great. Sound quality is amazing for the size which is perfect for travel. The bass is pretty good, not too tinny, but don't expect home theater quality.

Two warnings:
1) Only one per pack (Dilleyo wasn't clear on this)
2) Although they talk about "networking" the speakers, unless you get a splitter of some sort to send separate channels to each speaker, you'll have a string of mono speakers.

All in all, well worth the price - may get some more for gifts.

I own two of these.. one for my desk at work, one for at home or if I go somewhere that I can use it.

I absolutely love these things. Very high quality construction, awesome sound quality, they go very loud, and the battery seems to last forever. Rarely ever get any distortion. The sound quality is comparable to that of good quality stock TV speakers I'd say.

Only con I can think of is that the little carrying pouch they give you is really flimsy and cheap. Otherwise it's one of the best products I've bought in years.

I too have a speaker like this, and like those above, was very impressed with the sound quality and volume. I do wish there was a switch to set if you wanted it to be left / right / or stereo, then if you have multiples you could set one for left, one for right.

I bought one to carry around with my iphone and I'm pretty amazed at the quality this little sucker packs. I recommend one, maybe 2 of these!

So I bought the MAX ii type (comes with 2 speakers)and is a little bit bigger and sports better sound quality.

I'm going to return them and get this. I can't believe I spent $50 on those thinking it'll boast an awesome sound quality...I wasn't really shocked or amazed at all with what I heard. The tweeters are great but I expected an awesome low bass response...but no, really it's just a loud speaker.

@ken2323: BTW I love the fact that it's rechargable. I have the hockey puck altec one (http://www.amazon.com/Altec-Lansing-iM207-Orbit-MP3-Players/dp/B000YEKM0U/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1267343149&sr=8-7) and it drains my 3 aaa batteries because I keep forgetting to turn it off (there's no light indicator on that one)

I just went to the Gearxs site and ordered two of these, got a dollar discount for ordering two, only to shop their current sale and find these are selling for $19.99! What gives? Will contact them and report back here.
