The plastic coffee mugs have thermo plastic rubber sleeves to keep beverages hot longer and to provide a secure grip. As always - if you use it for coffee, it's pretty much a coffee-only mug. Getting the coffee oils out of plastic is harder than simply washing with warm water and soap, IME.

Since I drink both coffee and tea, my travel mugs therefore have to be ceramic or stainless steel. :\

I recently bought the set of multicolored straw cups from this site and they are beautiful. I already had someone trying to get me to give them one...
I also own one of those coffee cups. It's very nice the top screws on snugly. I also like using it alot too. Very nice set worth the money IMHO/
