I have personally owned a Philips 40" but broke with in 90 days of purchase. They have the worst Costumer Service and it took almost 6 months and 4 repairs (3 send offs, NO TV) before they replaced it.

Secondly, my brother-n-law still owns a Philips that is non functioning. He has been battling for 2 months on repairs w/techs. The Geek Squad member told him that Philips is the worst offender of not wanting to fix things.

FYI - don't expect Customer Support from Philips!

@ksapp82 and @jsoko:
Before you purchase this TV (ksapp sounds like you won't), check out this deal from Crutchfield for a 43" Samsung Plasm 3D-ready with free 19" LCD TV for $549 with free shipping.

I posted this on Monday and the deal will expire on 29th. Not trying to plug my posted deal but it's just too good to not pass along.

I have a Philips 47" LCD 120hz and have had zero problems in nearly two years. I did buy a warranty just in case though.

@ksapp82: I've had a 32" Philips for over five years, zero problems. I've had great luck with their TVs actually. There are bad eggs from every manufacturer.

For me I have a Toshiba (Best Buy replaced Philips) and a Samsung and they have been amazing.

So it could be I had a bad egg, but I just that doesn't explain the Customer Support.
