great coupon, but hate the dreaded coupon printer

Can you purchase a $50 gift card and get the $10 card?

vote-for9vote-against

Argh, won't be installing an .exe to print this coupon.

@woottj: "Gift cards and tax will not be included in determining purchase total" says the coupon.

@splashx: Seriously. Spent $45 yesterday at Target.

Went today and made 3 transactions and got $30 in gift cards!!! I printed 3 coupons they take the one you use so you have to have as many as the transactions your are going to make!

Wonder if I can combine this w/ the $5 off of $50 coupon I have?

vote-for2vote-against

I installed the .exe, but it still won't print my coupons. Win7 Firefox.

The coupons are not uniquely numbered. Would it be against woot!'s rules to simply post a copy of the coupon?

vote-for2vote-against

@roy33sakic: it might be considered a duplicate deal, but i don't know. you could post a direct link to the coupon in here.

Coupon printer = COMPLETE FAIL. What an utter turd.

YMMV of course, but last year I used two of these to buy 10 $10 certs and the clerk didn't even look twice (backup xmas presents).

@kovo: Try printing from an administrator account. Sometimes even "run as administrator" isn't good enough. Win 7 is goofy like that

@psumek - This depends on how the computer is programmed to accept them. When I used to work at target, it was usually a 50/50 shot, either the computer accepted it, or it said no (the cashier doesn't have much control over that). The biggest thing is that if you want to use both, make sure the total is at least $55. The reason is that if the $5 off coupon is run first and you are at $50 even, when they run the $10 giftcard one, the register will identify the total as $45, and will refuse to accept.

Anyways, not bad, if you had some shopping to do at target.

Install your coupon printer on a Virtual Machine, then wipe it!

@kovo: I had the same problem using Win7. The coupon printer works even worse than the rest of the junk at Target. I wish I never tried to install this software!

vote-for1vote-against

Wasn't too bad to sort out. Didn't print on Firefox, went back to Control Panel set default printer to the one I'm using again, tried Firefox again...didn't work. Opened up Internet Explorer, tried there and printed just fine. (Windows 7)

@ozzie2191: just had a chance to go to Target today. The machine refused to accept the coupon. A message said "return coupon to customer - no eligible items". The register person called someone to help her override it, who then pointed out it cannot be used on cards.

So...at least around me it does not work.
