This is going to boldly go right into my Blu-Ray collection!

Just note: this is an import (if it matters to anyone), which is why the amazon US price is so high. While a complete all-in-one box is great, the comparable US version is only a little bit more: http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Original-Seasons-Blu-ray/dp/B002PQ7JQK/ref=sr_1_11?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1319118233&sr=1-11 ($182), which still makes this a great deal, but not as great as it may originally seem to be.

@monsterdude so it is! I didn't notice that the reference price I listed was for an imported copy of it, but like you said, still a good dead!

It should read "REGION FREE", not just Region. ;-) So, this will play on any blu-ray player in the world.

FYI, the packaging on this set is cheap cardboard, and the discs can easily just fall out of the cardboard sleeves. It might be worth the slightly more money to get the sturdier plastic, and USA released, 3-box set that monsterdude mentioned.

Wait for the US version... you'll be kicking yourself at the price diff if you don't.

DVD set costs the same outrageous price too: http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Original-Complete-Seasons/dp/B001DHXT6G/ref=sr_1_4?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1319126727&sr=1-4

Now where it says remastered... is this the version that has new SFX (I think I saw those ep on Spike TV or something).

Or take the same amount of money nad get 19 months of Netflix and have all of the Star Trek series available to you...

About a 100000 times better than those lame ass Dr. Who's (Tom Baker excluded of course)

@peterflynn
I don't know if the US version will be that dramatically different in price. In fact, once it comes out it will probably be higher (at retail price), then come down to about this price. That's my guess and hope. The UK page has reviews saying the blu rays allow you to view both the original and enhanced effects editions.
