I might pick a pair up if they still have my size next month. I have a pair of KSO that I use for kayaking, and Bikila's that I use for running. I'm thinking of these as my "walking around on weekends" shoes, so as to not have to wear away at the shoes I actually need.

Just FYI, Sprints are no longer listed under the men's section on the Vibram web site. The women's section still lists them.

I haven't seen an announcement that they're being discontinued, but it looks like that might be the case.

I'm on my third pair of Sprints in two years. Wore the first two until they got holes in them. Mostly I'm a distance runner, but I do some kayaking in them as well. They're comfortable on roads and trails, as long as there aren't too many sharp rocks. I love mine.

@jtaclas: I've looked at the Bakilas, but I've not spoken to anyone who's worn them. My impression of them is that they're too built up, and sort of too similar to a traditional shoe. Kinda looks like it defeats the purpose of Vibrams. What are your thoughts on them having actually worn them? How do the compare to the KSOs (which are much more similar to the Sprint)?

@pyromosh: The Bikila aren't built up nearly as much as a "traditional" shoe; but there is more to them than the regular soles. Maybe a little closer to the feel of the soles on the trek soles, only without the cleating and with a little more flexibility. I'd recommend trying them on at a store at least. I haven't taken the KSO's out for a run, just really to go kayaking, or walk around town, so I can't really do a direct comparison.

I didn't get a 20% discount, but maybe it's because I was not a member previously. Ordered a pair anyway though.

I've got a pair of the slightly nicer version, also picked up on REI. I love 'em. Don't run in them, but take them to the gym. Be sure to watch the little video on sizing, to make sure you order correctly (they do not order like regular shoes). It was also a bit tricky at first, getting all the toes into the correct holes.
