ADVERTISING a SECRET Sale defeats the purpose.

"501® Original Fit Made in the USA Jeans
Wind Worn Was $198.00 Now $129.90 "
SERIOUSLY?
They're jeans, nothing more- unless of course you consider the tag to be a lifestyle/fashion statement, in which case you should pay whatever they want.
The sad part: is this what MUST be charged because they're made in the U.S.A.? I doubt it.

Alas, Levi's aren't what they used to be. My old pairs of Levi's jeans lasted for years and years. The ones sold nowadays can be counted by months.

@havocsback: Not even close. As the old Woot shown us with t-shirts, made in the USA does not have to be expensive at all. In fact, I posted a deal for honest-to-goodness-made-in-the-USA jeans here.

Only on certain sale items. and they all suck.

@havocsback: Agreed. Even the Levis "Outlet" stores have them way overpriced to begin with, and then the ones that are priced even CLOSE to reason, are something you wouldn't wear except to insulate your crawlspace in. Call me an old fogey, but why can't they make just plane old jeans anymore? The closest thing I have found are the Signature Series that they sell at Walmart (not trying to SPAM for them). They fit nice and don't look like they were made from reject material from WWII.....

@drhardcrab: I actually have found 514s and 501s at TJMaxx and Marshall's fairly regularly for about $25 a pair. If you are willing to try the crazy colors you can go even less but personally I'm better with the more standard darker blue (as opposed to that glowy blue that was popular in the 90s and is the standard color for Wallyworld jeans.)

@narfcake: What's really interesting is you can buy Made in USA Levi's from Brooks Brothers of all places cheaper than from Levi themselves! Figure that out!

These are like the ridiculously inflated prices you see in Europe. You also see people wearing jeans to the office and out to fancy dinners and whatnot so they seem to serve a different purpose there than they do here in America.

@battra92: Not too strange. Wholesale agreements and all, the old Woot shirts that were manufactured by American Apparel sold for $10-$15; the blank shirts retail (and sell) for $18.

Coupon only good on certain sale items- good luck finding the right size in a color you want!

vote-for1vote-against

@narfcake: I disagree! I had a few pairs that over the years had the zipper separate. One day I decided to contact them, and they had me send them back, postage paid, and sent me three new pairs, even though two of the ones I had were years old. I love the fit, and won't wear any other brand!

Would have been nice if the coupon worked! They should just show the items the coupon is actually good for!

@tcayer: Wow, that's super service! I would've just taken them to the local tailor for a repair job.

Luckily for me the sizes available are just right, but I can't find an item this coupon works on...

Edit: After adding a couple pairs to the cart, it appears to apply the coupon now, there may be a minimum purchase required.

Wow am I the only one whose Levi's jeans still hold up and don't fall apart?
