11 Lumens, my eyes, my eyes!
and 34 foot beam length.

works GREAT for tieing your shoes with in the dark while camping in the woods!
EXCELLENT BUY if u get 3 of em
11 EXCELLENT Lumens of ARTIFICIAL FUNLIGHT
i mean sunlight
It's essentially a $2 flashlight that includes pretty good batteries. You're not going to see it from space, but it can still be useful. $4.50 if you include shipping for two of them.
If you want some inexpensive hurricane supplies, this fits the bill. One flashlight for every room in the house.
Any reviews about this? For $9 shipped, I'm tempted.
How tough are these compared with the Hard Case flashlights? I've got those, and man, those things kick ass.
11 lumens? I think I would have trouble finding my way out of a cardboard box. meh! and an epic fail for even offering this woot!
In for three (6)
while 11 lumen isnt alot its still not as bad as most are making it out to be. I own many high end LED flashlights and one of the most desirable features is a really low low setting. Some of my lights have a 2 lumen setting and some even lower. when its late and really dark out and your eyes get adjusted 11 lumen will seem like plenty. So these do have a use.
And if you are getting these as one has already mentioned I would get 6 to make it a better deal and slap one in every room and maybe a couple in the car for emergency supplies. you can never really have too many flashlights. unless you ask my wife... lol
In for 6!
Just think of all the fun the kids/nieces/nephews will have playing flashlight tag! small and rubberized, perfect for little hands.
Not the best flash lights, but they are good to put in different rooms in the house. Then use those to find your bigger better flashlights.
I have one of these and the battery life is ok, though it gets dimmer and dimmer as the battery dies.
I've been resisting the urge to buy an LED flashlight, and so far the comments are keeping me on the fence. I do some intermediate level electronics and automotive repair work, and I'm planning to attend one of the technical training programs.
So finally my question: Does anyone have any experience using these during the daytime? i.e. under the hood of a car, or under the car, in a shaded garage, or on a desk in a room that doesn't get enough sunlight.
The rubber grip/use with gloves aspect got me interested, so I'd also like to ask: Does anyone know if these are easily/quickly cleanable? If not any other flashlight recommendations to meet the above requirements?
AAA batteries?
skip these lights - AAA have as little as 25% the capacity of AA.
pick a light that uses AA for the best run-time
11 lumens is pretty pathetic, but they are cheap. Although with shipping not so much.
@srattan: If a flashlight is something you use on a daily basis, it is insane that you are not using LED. If it is really something you need and use though I would go with something better.
If you're interested, let me know and I'll give you some more advice. I don't know too many lights that have a rubber grip, but I guess it is also something not too tough to add to a light that you like. Here is one good light off the top of my head that does come with a rubber grip:

A zebralight could be a really good choice as well. It's not rubberized but it can work as both a flashlight and a headlamp which is very handy. Also has the molle design which makes it easy to use for work as well.
Decided to go for it. Bought 3 (6); figured I can't go wrong for $2.83 each. Put one in each room of the house, leave one at work, maybe give a couple away. My Fenix E01 supposedly puts out the same amount of lumens, which seemed bright enough in a dark room. I have other brighter LED flashlights if the situation calls for them.
I would be in for some if it weren't for the AAA batteries. Maybe I've just had bad luck with them, but it seems like the batteries are ALWAYS dead the moment I actually need to use the flashlights, even if they're new.
Basically I haven't really found a reliable battery flashlight, making me weary spending money on yet another one.
at the very least you can use it to find that better flashlight when in the dark.
2 @ 11 lu. = 22 lu.........A lit fart is brighter ;^)>
@piskami: Really? the light get dimmer as the battery dies?? Inconceivable!
Flashlight rubbers! It's about time!--oh, not what I'm thinking---nevermind.
hard to say because it doesn't list the lumens or the type of led. All I can really say is that running on 3xAAA, it is direct drive so it will have long runtime but slowly dim as its used.
@geognerd: Yay another flashlight nerd! Although this light will probably seem a bit brighter than the fenix because it uses an optic to focus the light.
@srattan I don't think 11 lumens will help you out for daylight use. I have a Fenix P3D that I use all the time. I've used it multiple times in bright mid-day light under a car or under the hood, anywhere where there is shadow, this light will illuminate it. We're talking 210 lumens, so it's a big difference, it's also a big difference in price. The Fenix lights use a CREE LED bulb, which is an insanely bright LED. Even though the flashlights are pricey, I don't bother with any LED flashlight that doesn't have a CREE or something similar. As far as I'm concerned, the regular LEDs you can pick up in Walmart, etc are just a waste of money, I don't care if they are only a buck.
As for being on the fence, prior to my big spend for the Fenix, I had both regular lights and LEDs like what is offered & I used both depending on the need. Now I've completely gotten rid of my regular flashlights. They are big, chunky, and waste batteries. If you get the right LED, I think you'll be very happy.
AAA batteries Argh!
About the same price as AA with less than 1/2 the capacity!
AA http://data.energizer.com/PDFs/E91.pdf
AAA http://data.energizer.com/PDFs/E92.pdf
Note C is about 4x price and about 4x capacity as AA, AA is the sweet spot for size and capacity!

@jnevil: If shipped how do I get my Shipping Number?
Mine arrived today. 2 AAA's included with each one. But how the @#$%^& do you get these things open to insert the batteries? The card that they come on has lots of printing on it... but of course it would make too much sense to give instructions on how to open it...!
@mdickinson: The yellow top should twist off so you can insert the batteries. Let us know if you need further assistance.
