With the Vivino app, you’ll never forget another wine. Take a photo of any wine, and we’ll automatically match it against our online wine database of more than 500,000 wines. If it doesn’t automatically match it, our Wine Recognition Team will do it for you.

What Vivino does for you:
- Automatically recognizes the wine, by analyzing the label
- Wine Recognition Team will match unknown wines for you
- Builds a winelist of all your favorite wines
- Use the Nearby feature to check out the selection of wines in a restaurant, supermarket or liquor store
- Works offline as well. Scanned wines are saved for later processing
- Upload old photos from your Photo Album for recognition
- User-generated content, like ratings, tips, where the wine can be purchased, prices etc. grow day by day with our expanding community of users.

Looking forward to trying this out. I lost my little notebook I kept wine notes in- this seems like the perfect solution for keeping track of favorites (and ones to avoid in the future)!

@eternalgreenknight: We all use cellartracker.com which is a free site to keep track of what you have, post notes, and search others' notes on wines.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
