@aliusa: That was part of the plot in an episode of the recent Sherlock series!

Man is seen in the distance, standing alone in a field near a flowing stream. A second later, he's flat on his face, dead, no weapon in sight. Of course, Sherlock figures it out, and finds the hapless guy's boomerang that had floated downstream. A lesson to us all! ;-)
