I own this. It's fun. It works. I really like the idea of grinding my own meat, but I use it far less than I should.

However, you may want to read through some of the reviews as some people are disturbed by the results of grinding meat. For instance, some owners noticed black specks on the meat, others are freaked out by the grease buildup, and some even found metal shavings.

@bellavampyre: You're not being a B... I looked around, and this was the best I could find, including the Lowe's mention in the description. I posted it because I've been seeing the mixers posted here and everybody loves attachments.

I'm not seeing it for $34. Maybe I'm not searching for the right thing, but in any event this was the lowest I could find.

Not trying to be a B... but is this a deal? I'm saying this because I've been watching this for a couple weeks waiting for it to come down.. I THINK it was 34 a couple days ago...

I own this and I love it. I never buy pre-ground meat anymore. It isn't that much cheaper to grind your own meat, but it tastes a whole lot better. And not just beef, I use this to grind chicken and turkey as well. Plus you are only one sausage stuffer attachment and a smoker away from making your own sausage.

The only downside is that the screw conveyor does not sit flush against the back of the housing. This will occasionally cause a black oil (food grade) to leak from the motor housing into the meat. I don't have a problem picking out the bits that have oil on it, but I understand people who think it's nasty.
