Note these are the 5.25 oz. boxes (convenience store size) and not the 16 oz (1 lb. size) you find in the grocery store.

@gionot: Yes, they are the smaller size (noted in the description). I've bought these on sale before; I like them because you don't have to open a larger package & risk them getting stale. As if they would last that long in my house! ;-)

The 16 oz. size is available at Walgreens for $3.99. The 99 cent price really is a good deal....approximately 21 oz for the price you'd pay for the 16 oz box.

@gmwhit: The $.99 price isn't bad if you have enough purchases to get free shipping. And the smaller size is nice for certain situations, like picnics or portion control. I only reiterated the size because I've found that a lot of people don't pay very close attention to package weights, and the two sizes of box look almost identical in photos.

So, another wooter has gone crackers...figures.

I usually pay $2 for a 16-ounce box, so these tiny 5.25-ounce boxes are not a deal at $1. Well...unless you absolutely need to have tiny boxes for some reason, I guess.

@cleverett: Wow! Fantastic price. May I ask where you get a 16 oz box for $2? Probably a sale, yes? I do know that Walgreens has had sales on the 16 oz boxes, too.

Amazon currently has 2 16 oz boxes for $9.37.

I love these crackers too. Good for lots of things. I like them broken up in chicken noodle soup to soak up some of the broth.

I actually just had some with swiss cheese.

@gmwhit: Yes, $2 is a sale price. I bought some two weeks ago at Safeway for $1.99/box. The price has changed since, they're showing as $2.50 through Tuesday. I normally buy them at WinCo (a west-coast chain) for somewhat less than $2.50...I don't have a receipt handy, but $2.34 is popping into my head. They have them at $1.99 about half of the time.

A while back WinCo had a 32-ounce box (two 16-ounce boxes wrapped together) for $2.99. The next time I was there they were $3.99, and the next time they were gone and they haven't had them again since. Some kind of special promotion, I guess.

@cleverett: Thanks so much! Wish that my local stores had prices so low. They do not - no where near that, even on sale. Have so little choice on grocery stores where I live...there are either 4 or 5 Publix stores w/i 4 miles of me. Ughhh! Known for their high prices. Do have a Costco store that I go to occasionally - good if you want to buy in bulk. Lots of bulk! ;-)

I only buy miniature versions of most products anyway, so this is just right for me. Cute, tiny 5.25 oz. boxes. Not like those ugly 16 oz. boxes.

@cleverett: No Winco here, but my folks love them! Usually better prices than their other local stores (including Walmart) and a broad selection.

The club stores usually have the multi-packs of Club crackers. Quick check shows 2/16oz. for $4.48 at my local Sam's and 3/16oz. for $6.85 at Costco. I also found that Walmart has them for $2.50 online, but you need $45 in eligible orders to get free shipping. They are currently $2.89 at the B&M Walmart stores around here. Club crackers also show up on a fairly regular basis at my Big Lots store, but I don't remember the price ($2.50?).

So this might not be a great deal, but the crackers are damn tasty.. and in the end, isn't that what really matters?

No longer on sale. Price back to 2/$4.50 or 1/$2.49.
