Sealab 2021: Seasons 1-4 for $42.84
"This is Chopper Dave's made for TV movie, Blades Of Vengeance. See, he's a chopper pilot by day, but by night he fights crime as a werewolf... YEAH!"
In the tradition of "Space Ghost Coast to Coast", the adult animated series "Sealab 2021" lifted footage from an old, obscure Hanna-Barbera kiddie cartoon show, reedited the material, and composited the images over newly drawn backgrounds. In this case, the "original" series was "Sealab 2020", which was first seen on NBC during the 1972-1973 season. One of several "serious" H-B efforts of the era, the first "Sealab" took place in the early 21st century and was set in a domed experimental city several miles beneath the sea.
One of the best show Adult Swim had, don't know why they canceled it.
@wickedd365: they always cancel the good ones, speaking of all networks in general.
@wickedd365: Couldn't agree more!
bought these seasons like 5 years ago. love em all. great deal!

"HOLY CRAP! Did you see that chopper explode?"
My favorite AS show ever, although it took a nosedive after Captain Murphy died. Still better than T&E or that unbearable spirit ghost show. Ugh.
"I know I saw that freakin' chopper explode!"
Maybe someone can help me-- what was the episode that culminated in a ton of helicoptors hovering around? All I really remember otherwise is that a police helicoptor showed up at one point and said there were too many helicoptors in the area.
I've been trying to figure out which episode that was for forever now with no luck.
Stimutacs episode is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
@mjrubino: I'm fairly certain that it is the episode "Return to Oblivion", the season 2 finale.
Great show, if I didn't already own all the dvds I would be all over this
The link in the deal doesn't seem to be working now, but the deal is still up, here's a direct link: http://www.blowitoutahere.com/053939767827/sealab-2021-seasons-1-4
@wickedd365: Then ended it when Harry Goz (Captain Murphy) died. Wouldn't have been the same without him.
@eghazali: Oh no... as said above it kept up for a bit but it just wasn't the same.
Definitely one of the best adult swim shows... like good ATHF back in the day. You can't deny space ghost though, that show started the genre and there are good episodes, but they definitely use silence for comedic value... which isn't funny to everyone.
If you don't like space ghost just give the replicating pod episode a shot... its a winner along with the Thom York one.
Barbobot and his D cups of justice!
@float410: There goes my nipples again!
@jose07: It appears your link is broken as well?
BIZARRO I'M HELPING!
@jrtf83: If you go to the website itself, and search "Sealab" it pops up there, still at $42.84, at least it did when I checked it 10 minutes ago.
Epic show. Along with Frisky Dingo. Wish both shows would come back :(
Just call me - He who smokes bitches!
@fostytou: The awesome Thom Yorke episode was also with Bjork and is titled "Knifin' Around. Here's a little video:

If you're a fan of Sealab, check out Archer on FX. One of the funniest shows I've seen.
Chopper Dave: "Uh Ooooooh!"

@oopswootedagain: The good ones are the polarizing ones. Each person either loves it or hates it. It leads to a small, but dedicated audience. Advertisers however want large general audiences, which is why crap like (name a show) stays on the air year after year.
Plus Hollywood is all about making quick money, which is why movies have sequel after sequel, but it's also why a good TV series that might take a number of episodes to fully get into (like Firefly) gets canceled. They air one or two episodes, see that the ratings aren't great, and cancel it long before the show ever has a chance to get its footing.
