Thanks, but is this really a deal or is it always free?

Appears to be the regular price.

Yeah, it's always free.
But it is an amazing book...if you can plod through some of the sections.

I honestly don't understand the popularity of free Amazon e-book deals. Any book published pre-1923 is in the public domain, and most of the famous (and many of the not-so-famous) can be found at Amazon for free, all the time. Do pay attention to quality, though. . . free versions can be difficult to navigate and rife with errors. Reading the reviews will lead you to the best ones.

Best book you'll ever read
Though I do suggest an abridged version
This book was written before editors and victor Hugo likes to describe the scene then the people in the scene then the peoples social status and beliefs then what those statuses and beliefs meant and stood for during tht time period then a description of the weather
He's quite thorough.

One of the Android apps that I wrote... the American Civil War Gazette... displays news headlines from 150 years ago as if they were occurring today.

I try and pick articles that are beyond just the war, and that show life in general at the time as well.

A couple of weeks ago, while preparing the articles for April 1862 I came across a review of "new" titles from Europe, including one that the reviewer was quite ecstatic about... Les Miserables finally in novel form.
