That's $10 each!
@jsoko: No...it's 12 for $10. That's 83 cents each. Well, 83.33 cents each.
EDIT: Actually, it's $9.98. That makes it 83.166 cents each.
lol...was spending time buying them...not wooting them. Great deal
@rprebel: Wow... my bad, sorry I thought it was for each. Long day, my apologies
@jsoko: Hey, these things happen.
@rprebel: I purchased a couple sets myself, and I'm trying to have the woot staff take back my mistaken down vote (if it is possible...).
just put in an order even though i really dont need more flashlights.... oh well, more cheap b-day presents!
You can never have too many flashlights.
Lots of feedback on QVC describing that you tighten the cap to turn the light on and loosen it to turn off, but since the cap is loose, it frequently falls off and the batteries fall out. http://reviews.qvc.com/1689/V29466/skil-v29466-skil-7-piece-led-flashlight-set-with-carabiner-clips-reviews/reviews.htm?sort=helpfulness
"4 LR41 button-cell batteries each"
Ooh, that's a no. If they don't take at least AAA, not interested.
What the heck. My grand daughter wil love them.
Thanks~these will go into easter baskets.
These run button cells. Bad! The cells cost about 20¢ each mailorder. 4 cells/flashlight = 80¢. That's more than the initial cost of the flashlight!
The cells will cost even more locally. You probably won't have them laying around the house when the flashlight goes dead. They're tiny and inconvenient.
And they don't last as long as a standard AA or AAA. Button cell = 45mA-hr, AAA = 1000 mA-hr, AA = 2000 mA-hr.
You'll save a few cents if you buy these flashlights, but you'll quickly lose that much and more paying for button cells.
@crowbite: Hey, they're 83.166~ cents each. When the batteries run out sell them on ebay for $ 1.00 (batteries not included).
Bought two sets of these recently to use as stocking stuffers or for the company's charity-benefit auctions this spring. Each one comes in a color-coordinating box. At this price they're essentially throw-aways, so replacing the button batteries isn't an issue for me. Besides, the spouse seems to have a healthy collection of all sorts of batteries in his workshop.
@mickster1245: That's just plain silly. Unless you're nuts, if you sell them on eBay you'd have to charge shipping, which will be a buck or more. Do you think you'd find buyers who would be willing to pay $2 total (or more) for one of these without batteries?
Batteries are cheap.$3.22 per 100 free shipping

I bought 72 flashlights on Woot and thinking about more. If you give the threads a wrap with plumbers tape it helps resolve the issue of unscrewing.
BTW they look really cool hanging on a tabletop Christmas tree.
@crowbite: My post was an obviously a failed attempt at humor as I find them disposable unless I come across a bunch of free replacement batteries before the Apocalypse. At 1 (flashlight) per month I should be good. And yes, I am nuts. Very astute observation.
$7.99 + free s/h at 1saleaday. These make a unique gift when given as a 12 piece boxed set since all 12 are a different color.
