dealscrucial m4 ct256m4ssd2 solid state drive for $159…

This is a great deal for a 256 gb. I paid around $150 for my 180 gb Intel 520 series (lower failure rate, but same speeds probably). I have Crucial memory in my Dell XPS and my 2012 Macbook pro, haven't had a single problem with any Crucial product I've purchased, and I know plenty of people who use Crucial SSDs.

And for those who don't know, a solid state drive will do wonders for your computer's performance...Windows runs 10x better off a solid state IMO. Programs, even large ones such as Photoshop, open very quickly.

I have the 512gb version of the Crucial M4 installed in a MacBook Pro. As mgbillow said above, an SSD will do wonders for your computer's speed. Boot times and app launching is magnitudes faster. The drive is also silent, and uses less power. All told, I think it's one of the most useful computer-related purchases I've made in decades.

I also bought a USB external drive enclosure; that way, when I swapped out the previous hard drive for the Crucial SSD, I put the old drive in the enclosure. It's working as the Time Machine backup.

Excellent SSD, good price.
