I am thinking about it but,
Is there an Operating system installed?

I don't see anything about it, could be a deal breaker......

@shirtdeals - Good catch. I just chatted with their support staff and it does come with Windows XP Pro installed.

Just a word of warning that sometimes these cowboom laptops are in really rough shape and I hear their customer service isn't very good.

But having said that I love my thinkpads. They're so well made and reliable compared to most consumer laptops. I still use my old T40 I bought used 3-4 years ago (and it was already a 3 year old laptop at the time.

anyone know the age of these laptops?

@shirtdeals: I work at a firm that recently started taking these off the floor - they're roughly 3 years old, or at least that was their age when we got them new.

Doesnt say so im wondering what kinda graphics it can handle, im sure its an int card which can be good or bad....

Word of warning: the deal is now dead, but they put up a Dell at the same price with much lower specs.

D-E-A-D-!!!

Now they have a crappy Dell in its place.

I'm still seeing the IBM there...

@glandes: I still see the IBM, not a Dell, but when you add it to the cart i comes back as sold out. Guess I debated it to long

I just put it in a cart. There was no sold out statement. I could have bought one just now

@cris915: These are Thinkpads. Business machines. Thinkpads have Intel GMAs for the graphics chipset. If you're thinking of buying this to game on, just stop right now, because you won't be doing it. For a school or work laptop though, it doesn't get better than Thinkpads. Well, the T, W, and X series anyway. Oh but this one is an actual IBM Thinkpad, it seems? In which case I'd go for it.

@stryker4526: Thinkpads came with GMA, ATI, and Nvidia options... depending on how it was ordered.

Just a FYI.

vote-for2vote-against

@souka: True, but the majority of them just use Intel GMA, especially since most Thinkpads you find are off-lease from businesses that upgraded.

@stryker4526: Our Z61s were Lenovo.

They held up well, but not quite like the IBM T43 would.
